Richard M. Carson

	Richard M. Carson, 77, of Portland, Oregon, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2002.
	Mr. Carson was a Dentist and worked primarily for the V.A. Hospital.  He served in the Army and Air Force in World War II and the Korean Conflict.  He remained in the Air Force Reserves until 1971.
	Mr. Carson was born in New York City on March 9, 1925.  He married Mary Zoeckler on October 19, 1946.
	Mr. Carson graduated from St. Louis University Dental School in 1948.  He practiced Dentistry in Sheridan, Wyoming for 17 years.  He then moved to Portland in 1967 and practiced dentistry at the V.A. Hospital until his retirement.  Mr. Carson also taught at a dental school.
	Surviving are his wife, Mary; daughter, Lesley Carson; son, Brett Carson and daughter, Dru Rosenthal and eight grandchildren.
	A private funeral service was held.  Arrangements were by Autumn Funerals and Cremations of Tigard.
	Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association, restricted to research.
